Matchbox Cineclub programme and promote film screenings, residencies and pop-up cinema events in Glasgow and beyond. Events so far have taken place in CCA, Nice N Sleazy, The Old Hairdressers, The Banshee Labyrinth, Sofi’s Bar & Doune The Rabbit Hole.
Since January 2015 Matchbox Cineclub have hosted a monthly night at The Old Hairdressers, Glasgow, on the third Thursday of every month, screening all our favourite cinematic orphans, outcasts and outliers. We show films you most likely won’t see anywhere else – weird movies, cult movies, lost and banned movies, even films that have simply slipped through the cracks and deserve another look.
